The third edition of the much-awaited Tariq Lamptey U-15 tournament has been slated for Saturday, December 23, 2023 at the McDan Astro Turf La Community Park in Accra.
The event forms part of ways that the Brighton and Hove Albion defender is giving back to the society.
And as appreciation to the mammoth support received from Ghanaians in his footballing career, Tariq Lamptey has assured that this year’s edition of the event will be on a different level with medical practitioners expected to flood the venue for health screening among others for participants and residents of La Community in Accra.
Tema Legends remain the defending champions of the competition after defeating Ahosa FC in the final of last year’s edition. They were awarded a giant trophy, GHS 4000 and two GOTV decoders with 6 months subscription but Tariq Lamptey has assured an upward in the prize money.
The event is funded by the Tariq Lamptey Foundation with support from sponsors which include Remit Choice, Permafix, Access Bank, Multichoice, Samsung, Adidas, Nest Urban Prime, Ansah Pharma, Asutuare Poultry Farms and alpay.
