The Nsoatre based club tasted defeat in their match week fourteen encounter against Karela United on Sunday afternoon at the Nana Konamansah Park.

This victory was Karela United’s first away win in the ongoing 2023/24 Ghana Premier League and it also pushed the club out of the danger zone.

Before the encounter 2nd place Nsoatreman FC had won two, drawn two, and lost one in five games. 17th place Karela United had won one, drawn one, and lost three in five games.

The game was played at a slow pace in the early stages.

Manaf Umar and Stephen Diyuo in the 19th minute combined to get the ball to Adu Meider in Karela United’s box. Meider’s strike with his weaker left foot went wide.

Five minutes to halftime, Evans Adomako unleashed a shot in the box but his strike was blocked by an alert Nsoatreman defender.

Maxwell Arthur broke the deadlock with a direct free kick in the 66th minute.

Nsoatreman FC will play Accra Lions away in their next game and Karela United will clash with Dreams FC at home.
