Le Havre midfielder Andre Ayew is believed to be named on the list of a 55-man squad submitted to CAF by Ghana coach Chris Hughton.
CAF announced on Friday that all 24 participating countries have submitted their provisional squad lists ahead of the final 23-man squad submissions for the 2023 AFCON.
Arsenal’s Thomas Partey and PAOK Athens’ left back, Baba Rahman, are also in contention for a place.
Ghana and the other teams will be allowed to make changes to their squads in case of injuries or illnesses before their first match.
