Dominant Anokyi United, Vision FC and Baku All Stars became the first team to announce their presence in the one-week Eikwe Ye Me F3 @50 anniversary Football Gala as the first round of the group A and B concluded at the newly constructed astro turf on Sunday.
Determined to outlast a high-scoring field who all banged in goals in avalanches against a hapless Eikwe United, Anokyi United produced an outstanding performance to grab their first win with 3-0 against the hosts on Sunday.
The brace from Kojo Mahama and Musah proved decisive for all 3 points in what appeared a clear one-way battle for visitors.
Anokyi United are top of the group with 3 points along with Ewe FC, with Ngalepole and Eikwe United last on the log with no point.
The game continues today with group C likely to have stiff competition among the teams.

The competition forms part of the activities to mark the 50th anniversary of Eikwe Ye Me F3, an annual festival celebrated by the people of Eikwe, a coastal town in the Ellembelle District of the Western Region.
