Medeama SC forward Patrick Akese Akese has returned to training after a lengthy injury layoff, the club has announced.
The 24-year old striker sustained a groin and muscle issues in 2022 but is back in full training ahead of the remaining fixtures of the season.
In a training session posted on the club’s social media page on Saturday, the former Nzema Kotoko star was seen touching and running with the ball giving the hope that the youngster will return to the matchday squad for the Tarkwa based club.
Akese has struggled with series of injuries since 2021.
The former Nzema Kotoko striker joined The Mauve and Yellow at the start of the 2021/22 Ghana Premier League and has made one appearance in the Ghana Premier League for Medeama SC.

The former Black Meteors star was a key part of Nzema Kotoko’s 2019 NC Special competition success story and also made history of scoring double hat trick (6goals) in a division one league game against Star Madrid which ended 6-2.
