In light of the Milan defeat, AS Roma has swiftly dismissed Portuguese manager Jose Mourinho.
With Verona and Salernitana up next in Serie A, Roma’s defeat dropped them to ninth place in the league, and it was said that the Portuguese coach had two games left to preserve his position.
The club has made it known that Mourinho is leaving with immediate effect, and in a statement, they wish the Portuguese coach luck in the future and express gratitude for his time at the Giallorossi.
Mourinho led the team to the Europa League final the previous season and won the UEFA Conference League while he was there, bringing an end to Roma’s silverware drought.
