Former Ghana Black Stars winger Charles Taylor has warned the Ghana Football Association (GFA) against hastily appointing a new coach for the Black Stars.
The Hearts of Oak and Asante Kotoko legend called on the FA’s newly created committee to put on hold their task of searching for a new coach for the Black Stars.
The hard talking former international rather called on the GFA to conduct a deeper review that examines fundamental issues affecting the Black Stars like player selection, commitment, coaching, performance management and national team planning.
“We shouldn’t rush to get a new coach for the Black Stars, let’s deep inside on what transpired in Cote D’Ivoire and then we can take from there, that committee or whatsoever should be put on hold” Taylor told Domesticsportsgh.com in an exclusive interview.
“This committee won’t solve any problem, lets dig into the issues at hand first before that” he added.
Taylor wants the GFA and Sports Ministry to find sustainable solutions that can restore the Black Stars to its former glory rather than changing coaches.
