He is the favorite for the job despite stiff competition from former Qatar coach Carlos Querioz and Vladimir Petkovic.
The 63-year-old Portuguese tactician was on a $50,000 per month salary during his time as coach of the Super Eagles of Nigeria.
Peseiro is said to be weighing his options as Tunisia is also believed to be interested in his services after an impressive run with the Super Eagles as he led them to the final of the 2023 Total Engeries Africa Cup of Nations, where he lost to tournament hosts, Ivory Coast.
