Football attention on Nzemaland has been shifted to the 2023 All Africa Games going underway in Accra.
In the football segment, The Black Princesses and Black Satellites are representing the West African nation as the hosts football teams in the continent’s biggest sporting event.
The Black Satellite began their campaign on March 8 against Congo and advanced to the semis after beating Benin in its final game in Group A of the 13th African Games being held in Ghana.
One particular player who’s the son of the popular Banku seller in Nzema ( Azuleloanu) “Daavi” Emmanuel Mensah ( Number 12 shirted Satellite player) has been seen in the U-20 setup since the start of the tournament.
With three games played and 2 assists, the youngster has been regarded as one of the sharp wingers in the competition.
Mensah was named in the Black Satellite team for the Accra 2023 games following his exploits with club side Koforidua Semper-Fi.
The youngster hails from Azuleloanu in the Ellembelle District of the Western Region.
His mother is a popular banku seller in the district.
The African game commenced on March 8 and is due to conclude on March 23.
