The two-time Ghana Champions claimed a significant 1-0 away win over Asante Kotoko at the Dr. Kwame Kyei Sports Complex on Sunday afternoon in match week 32 of the 2023/24 Ghana Premier League.

The win has improved their chances of surviving relegation as the Dade boys have a game in hand against Dreams FC.

Despite the win, Great Olympics are still in the relegation zone with 39 points from 31 games, sitting third from the bottom.

Just 16 minutes into the game, Steven Mukwala missed a penalty that could have given the home side the lead before they were eventually punished by the visitors.

With two minutes left in the first half, Raymond Oko Grippman rose highest and scored the decisive goal from the far post to send Great Olympics into the break with the advantage.

The Dade boys then held on to win the game 1-0 as there were no further goals in the second half.

Great Olympics will then take on Hearts of Oak in their next game as they seek to maintain their league status.
