The Member of Parliament for Sekondi Constituency in the Western Region, Hon.Andrew Kofi Egyapa Mercer has donated GHC10,000 each to three Division Two clubs in his jurisdiction at the ongoing Western Regional Super Middle League competition.
The donation was made on Friday June 21, 2024 at the clubs various camp bases in Nzema.
Three clubs from the constituency, Givova Sporting Club, Sekondi Eleven Wise and Sekondi Hasacaas were given GHC10,000 cash.
The donation is to boost their morale ahead of the remaining matches.
The Constituency Chairman Mr.Percy Morgue Ansah and his executives presented the cash on behalf of the Member of Parliament.
” Hon. Egyapa Mercer appreciates the work you do and We are here to encourage you to do more and bring the cup to Sekondi, So he is here to support you to win your next game and bring the cup home, this is why we have brought this money to motivate you”.
The various team leaders who received the donation on behalf of their teams also expressed appreciation to the Sekondi MP for the gesture and promised the team would do their best to bring the cup to Sekondi.
Sekondi Eleven Wise are leading their Zone with 6 points after two games, while Hasacaas and Givova Sporting Club have played one game each with 2 points and 3 points respectively.
