Hearts of Oak captain Kofi Agbesimah has announced his intention to leave the club despite having a year remaining on his contract.

The defender cited undisclosed issues within the club as the reason for his decision.
Agbesimah joined Hearts of Oak from Bechem United last season and quickly established himself as a key player.
His leadership and solid performances were crucial for the Phobians. However, the 27-year-old’s departure will be a significant blow to the team.
In an interview with Happy FM, Agbesimah expressed his frustration with the situation, stating, “I’m not happy at Hearts of Oak. I want to leave.”
His potential exit comes as a surprise given his importance to the team. Hearts of Oak announced last week that they were reviewing their performance from last season after they narrowly escaped relegation.
They had to win their final match against Bechem United to remain in the top flight and are expected to make key decisions that could bring positive results in the upcoming season.
