The 5,000 Capacity Sports Complex which forms part of the Multi-purpose Youth Resources Centre in Navrongo has been left to detoleriate.
The facility was almost 90% complete in 2023 but works have been stoped leaving the facility to rot according to an eye witness reports.

However, in video that has gone viral on social media, the stadium can been seen bushy and disturbed.

The pictures show the whole facility is in a deplorable state.

If this facility is completed and handed over to the government, the Navrongo Multipurpose Stadium as popularly called, will be the first FIFA Standard stadium to be built in the Upper East Region since the commencement of football in the region.
The project has dressing rooms for match teams and referees. There will be an ICT area for media and administrative works. There is a hall for some indoor games, as well as offices, shops and a canteen area.
The completion of the project has delayed and can largely be blamed on the release of funds.
