Basake Holy Stars tactician, Abdulai Gazale says his outfit cannot afford to lose two consecutive games in the Ghana Premier League as they prepare to face Asante Kotoko this weekend.
The Premier League debutants will play host to the Porcupine Warriors in matchday 8 at the Crosby Awuah Memorial Park on Sunday.
Having succumbed to a 2-0 defeat to Nsoatreman FC, Gazale insists his outfit is determined to recover from their defeat at the weekend when they take on Kotoko.
“We are taking it game after game. The next thing we are thinking off is to plan towards Asante Kotoko. We can’t afford to lose two consecutive games in the league”
“We will work on our mistakes and get ourselves ready for Kotoko. Every Kotoko game is difficult because they always want to be on top and clubs also want to prove to them that, we are equal. We will work throughout the week in order to get ourselves back to winning ways”
Basake Holy Star have struggled to find their rhythm after defeating giants Hearts of Oak in the Premier League opener at the Accra Sports Stadium. They have managed two wins, one draw and four defeats after seven matches into the season.
With seven points, the Aiyinase-based club find themselves in the 13th position on the Ghana Premier League standings.
