With FIFA releasing its latest rankings, Africa’s top 10 Nations have now been confirmed after the latest round of 2025 Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers.
While some teams edge closer on securing their spot at the continental showpiece set to take place in Morocco next year, they have also climbed in FIFA’s world rankings.
Tournament host Morocco themselves maintained their status as the best team on the continent after beating Central Africa Republic by five goals to nil, and then beating them 4-0 a few days later.
Those matches which took place during the October international break, saw the Atlas Lions move one place up in the overall world ranking, going from 14th place to 13th.
While Senegal emerging victorious against Malawi, picking up 4-0 and 1-0 victories, they move from 21st to 20th, ensuring that Africa is well represented in top 10.
Ghana, meanwhile are in 14th African and sadly dropped to 73rd in the latest world ranking after poor results against Sudan.

At the top of the world rankings, Argentina, France, Spain, England and Brazil maintained their spots as the top five national teams on the planet.
