Ghana club Dreams FC and Dreams duo, Abdul Aziz Issah and John Antwi have been nominated for awards.

Dreams FC’s brilliant run to the semifinals in its debut campaign in the CAF Confederations Cup earned it a nomination in the Male Club of the Year category.

John Antwi and Issah earned nominations in the CAF Interclub Men’s Player of the Year category and 18 year old Issah also earned a spot in the Young Player of the Year category after scoring four goals and adding two assists in 10 Confederations Cup games.

He has since earned a move from Dreams FC to FC Barcelona’s Team B; he has been nominated alongside Brighton and Hove Albion duo Carlos Baleba from Cameroon and Yankuba Minteh from Gambia.

Africa’s football governing body, CAF announced this earlier on Thursday, October 24 and the event is expected to host some of the most high profile players from the continent.

The most anticipated award category in the upcoming CAF Awards, the Men’s Footballer of the Year, is set to climax December’s event.

Atalanta and Nigeria forward Ademola Lookman, Bayer Leverkusen and Burkina Faso defender Edmund Tapsoba and PSG and Morocco defender Achraf Hakimi have been shortlisted for the big award.
