Faisal Charwetey netted the only goal of the game in Nalerigu on Sunday afternoon.

The current league leaders, Bibiani Gold Stars, lost ground on their march to the title after a drab goalless draw against Dreams FC.

Dreams FC were reduced to ten men in the 60th minute after Richmond Tetteh received his marching orders.

At the Gold City Park on Sunday, Samuel Boadu’s Berekum Chelsea’s resilience saw them earn a 2-2 draw against Basake Holy Stars.

The league’s newcomers, Holy Stars, were in a 1-2 lead before Stephen Amankona bagged a late equalizer, after Stephen Baffour brought the away side level when Chelsea led through Emmanuel Sarpong’s strike in the first half.

Ben Daoude Sidibe scored ten minutes before full time to send the visitors into dream land before Amankona’s crucial stoppage-time leveller.

Paa Kwesi Fabin led his crusading Heart of Lions to a shock conquering of Asante Kotoko at the Obuasi Len Clay Stadium.

Kotoko were condemned to their second defeat in a row by Heart of Lions thanks to a goal by Hearts of Oak forward, Kwadwo Obeng Jr., in the 28th minute.

The defending MTN FA Cup champions were held by Bechem United to a dramatic 2-2 draw at the Nana Amoah Kronmansah II Park in Nusatre on Sunday.

Emmanuel Abban restored parity after the high flying Mohammed Abdul Rahman had given Nsotreman the lead in the first-half.

Just when it appeared Nsoatreman were on the verge of tasting their first home defeat of the season after Emmanuel Ankrah’s own-goal, super sub Collins Kudjoe popped up with an 84th minute equalizer.

Vision FC and Aduana Stars played out a goalless draw at the Nii Adjei Kraku II Sports Complex on Sunday.
