Ghana coach Otto Addo has unveiled his 25-man squad for the crucial AFCON qualifiers against Angola and Niger, announced on Thursday. The squad includes several key players from Europe’s top leagues but notably omits team captain Thomas Partey, despite the Arsenal midfielder being fully fit for selection.
Partey’s exclusion has sparked speculation, particularly as he had previously confirmed his availability after missing the October double-header against Sudan. Additionally, Monaco defender Mohammed Salisu will miss the upcoming matches due to a hamstring injury sustained in the 2-0 loss to Sudan last month.
On a positive note, Lorient defender Nathaniel Adjei makes his return to the squad after recovering from the injury that kept him out of earlier call-ups.
Premier League stars Mohammed Kudus, Jordan Ayew, Antoine Semenyo, and Fatawu Issahaku are all set to play key roles as Ghana looks to keep their AFCON qualification hopes alive.
There are also returns for Ibrahim Osman and Joseph Paintsil, who both missed the Sudan games due to injuries.
