The Member of Parliament for Ellembelle, Hon.Emmanuel Armah Kofi Buah has observed that Ellembelle District in the Western Region has been blessed with an abundant football talent.
The former Energy Minister believes that his proposed Ellembelle Sports Complex under the new NDC government will develop standard sporting facilities and infrastructural edifices to enhance talented sportsmen and women in the district.
Addressing the gathering after the final of the Ellembelle MP’s Cup Competition, he disclosed that the purpose of the event is to give a platform for talented footballers to make a smooth journey to the world stage.
“The purpose of this cup was to identify talents and I am very proud that, We have been able to identify good talents and which we are going to support going forward, I also want to say that, with the coming of the new NDC government, We are going to establish a sports complex in Ellembelle, and make sure we focus on all sports not only on soccer, to unearth talents basketball, volleyball and other sports and we will continue to support them.
“Again what we have said is that those who participated in this tournament, the Skill-Up Ellembelle Program is opening to all of you, We will support you any skills you want to have, He added.
The Deputy Majority Leader was the headline sponsor of the Ellembelle MP’s Cup 2024 which was won by Anokyi after beating Kamgbunli on penalties.
