Some of the angry youth says the governing New Patriotic Party ( NPP) lost the Evalue Ajomoro Gwira Parliamentary seat in the 2024 election because of the uncompleted projects including the stalled Axim Sports Complex.

The Parliamentary Candidate of the NPP in the 2024 election Hon. Catherine Ablema Afeku lost the seat to the incumbent NDC Parliamentary Candidate Kofi Arko Nokoe for the second term in row.

Reacting to some comments pasted on social media monitored by Domesticsportsgh.com, the youth blamed the government and the relevant stakeholders as the cause of both Presidential and Parliamentary elections.

” We lost the election very simple, we failed to complete all the projects brought to the municipal”

“Another factor that stood against the NPP, was the government failure to connect electricity supply to some communities in the constituency”.

” Axim Sports Complex and Fishing Harbour are the main cause of our defeat”

” We deserved to go on opposition, how can’t we able to complete Axim Sports Complex since 2018, are we serious as a party”.

“Divisions in all projects under the municipal failed us”.

“Brawire due to their road alone voted against both Catherine and Bawumia”

” Masa, what prevented us for not completing these projects, we should blame ourselves”.

“It’s sad, but we will come back strongly with new tactical approach”

Meanwhile, Catherine Ablema Afeku is on record to have explained in an earlier interview that she did well, particularly in lobbying for developing and employment for the youth in the constituency; but lost the seat due to uncompleted projects including Axim Sports Complex and Fishing Harbour.
