Upon a visit by Domesticsportsgh, the turf has been removed with a new one but work has been stalled due to the lack of materials to complete the project.

In an exclusive research and numerous interactions with the club top officials, the turf might be delayed even after the first round of the 2024/25 Ghana Premier League campaign.

The current state and the stalling of the project has sent a crucial signal that, the Basake based club will be continuing to use the Awuale Amihere Kpanyinli Sports Arena in Ampain.

Only 25% of the work has been done so far at the site leaving the remaining 75% in doubt as to when the remaining materials will be arrived for the project.

The famous grounds which has the total size of 113 by 74 yards, expected to meet the criteria for hosting Ghana Premier League matches reason it was recently closed down for upgrading.

Although, the top hierarchy of the Nzema based club has assured to get the pitch back to required standard.

However, the current checks at the Crosby Awuah Memorial Park on Thursday December 19, 2024, show that only 25% work has been done and the project is feared to be delayed.

Basake Holy Stars will have to play their remaining Ghana Premier League and MTN FA Cup matches at Awuale Amihere Kpanyinli Sports Arena in Ampain.
