According to the Speaker of the Nzema Youth Parliament, the constant attacks on workers at ADAMUS Mines was creating a state of fear, panic and insecurity in the Company with its ripple effect on communities in its catchment area.

Mr Kabutey who is also a Human Rights Advocate, condemned some faceless interest groups in the Nzema area who were hiding behind the youth groups to cause trouble and mayhem to innocent employees and management of the Company.

The situation, he said, threatens industrial peace and harmony thereby impacting acutely on productivity.

Mr Kabutey, who is also a Human Rights Advocate, reminded the thugs and macho men who continue to besiege the Company that they have no right to trample upon the rights of the innocent workers irrespective of any personal issues or interests they may have.

He called for the immediate withdrawal and arrest of suspicious characters around the premises of ADAMUS Mines ostensibly to cause mayhem to employees.

Mr Kabutey noted that ADAMUS Mines had employed thousands of employees since its inception to keep most of the youth in employment hence the need to jealously guard operations of the Company in the Nzema area.

Activities of ADAMUS Resources Ltd, a Ghanaian owned gold mining Company had been peaceful until the last few years when some youth groups in the area took the law into their own hands to threaten the industrial peace and harmony.
Some of the employees of ADAMUS Mines who spoke to GNA on condition of anonimity, expressed concerns about the state of affairs in the Company.
According to them, the frequent and unexpected harassment of employees by the faceless elements within the District poses danger to their lives.

They called on government to step in to protect workers and ensure smooth operations at the Mines.
