Former Minister of Sports and Recreation, Mustapha Ussif, has in partnership with former National Service Authority (NSA) Director-General, Osei Assibey Antwi, condemned a report linking him with alleged corrupt moves during his time at the NSA.Sports equipment
He delivered this via a statement released on Tuesday, February 18, as a response to alleged issues connected to the NSA’s payroll discrepancies.
Prior to serving as Sports Minister, Mustapha Ussif served as the Executive Director of the NSA and was mentioned in a report by The Fourth Estate- an investigative journalism outlet- as a major player in the Ghost Names Scandal that has rocked the NSA.
Aside linking Ussif to the scandal, Osei Assibey Antwi, former Deputy Director of the NSA and Ghana Football Association Executive Council member, Gifty Oware-Mensah and National Organizer of the New Patriotic Party, Henry Nana Boakye were also mentioned in The Fourth Estate report.Sports equipment

Aside calling for the report to be treated with contempt, the statement added that the report is “a manifest example of how the misapprehension of data and institutional processes may result in conclusions that misinform and mislead the general public.”
