Ghana has climbed the latest FIFA rankings, marking their first upward movement since July 2024, when they rose from 64th to 60th.
The Black Stars have now advanced to 76th globally, up from 77th, a position they held since November 2024. This positive shift follows Ghana’s strong start to 2025 during the last international break.
Victories over Chad and Madagascar in the 2026 FIFA World Cup Qualifiers—their first wins since defeating the Central African Republic in June—propelled the team forward, surpassing Israel, who slipped two spots in the rankings.
Despite the global improvement, Ghana’s position in the African continental rankings remains steady at 14th.
Coach Otto Addo will aim to build on this momentum and further boost the team’s standing when they resume action later this year.
