Bekwai Heroes fought hard to draw 1-1 with Nzema Kotoko in the Division One League week 28 match played at the Awulae Amihere Kpanyinli Sports Arena.
It was a must win for Nzema Kotoko, who remained in the 16th position after the encounter.
Bekwai Heroes were the better team in the first half, creating number of chances and scored in the 7th minute after brilliant individual performance from their front three.
The game was rained off after heavy downpour on Saturday and continued on Sunday morning at 8am.
Soon after the restart, Nzema Kotoko picked themselves up in the second half and piled on the pressure for equalizer.
They were rewarded in the 61st Minute and IbrahimAbdul equailzed for the home team.
The away team began to fight back even harder as the match neared its end, but it was not enough as Bekwai Heroes held to take home a point in a crucial match for survival in the Division One League.
The Red Armies side are still last on the league log with 24 points after 28 games.
