Accra Great Olympics have officially appointed Eric Alagidede as their new General Manager, replacing veteran football administrator Oloboi Commodore, in a strategic move aimed at restoring the club’s top-flight status.
The appointment was confirmed on Friday, July 11, 2025, following the signing of a contractual agreement between Alagidede and the club’s board.
The former Nsoatreman FC administrator and ex-Karela United Communications Director brings with him a wealth of experience and is widely seen as one of Ghana’s most promising young football executives.
At Nsoatreman, Alagidede oversaw the club’s historic MTN FA Cup victory and their maiden qualification for the CAF Confederation Cup (2023/24). His leadership style—combining strategic planning, transparency, and operational excellence—won him admiration across Ghana’s football ecosystem.
The two-time Ghana Premier League champions, who were relegated two seasons ago alongside Bofoakwa Tano and Real Tamale United, are now looking to rebound under Alagidede’s leadership.
His mandate includes:
Spearheading the club’s promotion campaign back to the Premier League
Implementing a modern football governance model
Enhancing the club’s financial stability and brand reputation
Improving operational efficiency across departments
The appointment signals a shift in the Wonder Club’s administrative structure, embracing youthful, modern leadership. Great Olympics aims to position itself as a sustainable and progressive football institution in Ghana.
