Former Asante Kotoko midfielder Justice Blay has accused his ex-teammates Joseph Ablor and Camara Mohammed of smoking shisha during their time at the club, as he sought to clear his name over allegations of indiscipline.
Speaking in an interview with Pure FM, Blay refuted claims that he was not the only player involved in off-field misconduct. “People have been misinformed that I’m the only drunkard in the club, but that’s not true,” he said. “Joseph Ablor and Camara Mohammed also smoked shisha.”
The 33-year-old’s comments come on the back of a mutual agreement to terminate his contract with the Porcupine Warriors, despite having a year remaining. Blay explained that he had sensed his exit was imminent and felt sidelined even before the official communication came through.
Blay also made headlines for alleging that Camara Mohammed snatched his girlfriend, an issue that reportedly led to a police confrontation. He further accused striker Kwame Poku of betrayal, claiming the forward took over a “sugar mummy” who was previously supporting him.
The former Medeama star’s revelations have sparked public debate and renewed scrutiny of the culture and internal dynamics at Asante Kotoko.
