Chief of Staff for the Republic of Ghana, Julius Debrah, believes the partnership between the Ghana Football Association and Adesa Production Limited, for the 2025/26 Ghana Premier League season, will help elevate the status of football in the country.
Earlier on Thursday, the GFA announced a new partnership with Adesa Production Limited (APL) ahead of the new football season.
APL will serve as the producers of the competition.
Speaking at the launch on behalf of President John Dramani Mahama, Debrah expressed his confidence in the possible improvement of Ghana football.
“The initiative we are launching today is a direct reflection of that vision. It stems directly from a directive to reposition sports ” not merely as an expenditure item ” but as a viable growth sector,” Julius Debrah said.
“To the GFA, to Adesa Productions Limited, and to all clubs ” we thank you for your boldness. The journey will not be without its challenges. But with commitment, transparency, and shared purpose, we will elevate Ghanaian football to unprecedented heights,” he added.
Each Ghana Premier League club will receive GHS 1 million before the start of the season. The 2025/26 season is expected to start in mid-September.
