Ghana forward Jordan Ayew isn’t too worried about Leicester City Football Club’s campaign three games into the 2025-2026 season.
His comment comes on the back of the Foxes losing 2-1 to Preston North End in the EFL Championship marking the second loss in a row for the club.
Prior to taking on Preston North End, Leicester City lost on penalties to Huddersfield Town after playing out a 2-2 draw in regulation time.
Jordan Ayew uncharacteristically missed his penalty kick in the shootout that led to Leicester City’s shock first round exit in the Carabao Cup.
After playing out the entire duration of the game against Preston, Jordan Ayew was confident about a turnaround in results for the club stating,
“It was a game where we played a bit into their hands for them to be hitting channel balls. It’s still early days, so we’ll keep on working. The most important thing for us is that, in May, we’ll all be happy. There’s 44 games, there’s many games, so it’s good it happens now so we can correct things quickly” Ayew said to Leicester media.
Fellow Black Stars player Abdul Fatawu Issahaku played 82 minutes in the loss; Leicester City take on Charlton Athletic next on Saturday, August 23 at 11:30 GMT.
