Morgan Rogers’ breakthrough season earned him the PFA Premier League Young Player Award and Liverpool’s impressive campaign under first year coach Arne Slot earned the Reds the league title and a big win on Monday, August 19 as members of the team got massive recognition for their role in the brilliant run in the 2024-2025 season.
Top scorer Mohamed Salah was named the PFA Premier League Player of the Year winner after registering 29 goals and adding 18 assists. By winning this year’s top prize the Egyptian becomes the first player ever to win the award three times.
Salah beat the likes of Alexander Isak of Newcastle, Bruno Fernandes of Manchester United and Cole Palmer of Chelsea to win the award.
He was also named in the Team of the Year with teammates Virgil Van Dijk, Alexis Mac Alister and Ryan Gravenberch to lead all teams in selection to the exclusive team.
Arsenal followed with three selections to the team in Gabriel Magalhaes, William Saliba and midfielder Declan Rice. Nottingham Forest had aits beat campaign in decades and got rewarded with goalkeeper Matz Sels and striker Chris Wood making the team.
Other members are Milos Kerkez who recently moved from AFC Bournemouth to Liverpool and Newcastle United’s want-away striker Isak. The Swede scored 23 goals and registered six assists in 34 league games last season.
The Swedish international missed the ceremony and proceeded to slam Newcastle over broken promises in connection to his move away from the club.
