Midfield dynamo, Emmanuel Keyekeh has won the 2025 edition of the CECAFA Kagame Cup with his side Singida Black Stars following a 2-1 victory over Al-Hilal Omdurman in the grand finale.
Singida Black Stars players demonstrated an indomitable performance against Sudanese giants Al-Hilal to lift the prestigious trophy, fought by twelve (12) other teams.
The former FC Samartex 1996 star player played all the five matches in the tournament and distinguished himself in superlatives.
Keyekeh’s performance was influential in the team’s glory throughout the tournament, and became one of the cynosures of his side.
Keyekeh has been one of the most reliable players for the Tanzanian side ever since he joined them due to his flawless display on the pitch.
Keyekeh is a free-kick expert, he possesses the striking ability to unleash unexpected and drives that leave goalkeepers stunned and scrambling to defend their post, and he is able to dictate the pace bad flow of play, engineering movements with deft precision and creating opportunities for his teammates.
Other Ghanaian players who competed in the tournament included Ibrahim Danlad , Seidu Dauda Yussif and Imoro Ibrahim.
Keyekeh joined the Eastern African side after a historic campaign with Samartex.
He previously played for Karela United and Asante Kotoko.
