Ghana’s Black Stars have climbed two places in the latest FIFA World Ranking following their impressive performances in the 2026 World Cup qualifiers.
Otto Addo’s side, who moved up one spot in the previous ranking, now sit 73rd globally after a strong showing during the October 2025 international window.
The rise comes on the back of Ghana’s dominant 5-0 win over Madagascar in Morocco and a narrow 1-0 victory against Comoros at the Accra Sports Stadium, results that saw them finish top of Group I in the qualifiers.
Despite their global improvement, the Black Stars remain 14th in Africa’s continental ranking.
Coach Otto Addo says he is hopeful of further progress when the team returns to action next month in international friendlies against Japan and South Korea in the Asian tour.
Ghana will be hoping to have a favourable draw ahead of the World Cup in the USA, Canada & Mexico.
