‘I’m not a magician at Leopards’- Kosta Papic
Black Leopards coach Kosta Papic admits taking his struggling new team out of the relegation zone will be a very difficult task because he is not a magician.
Leopards suffered an embarrassing 3-1 defeat at the hands of DStv Premiership newboys TS Galaxy on Wednesday evening at Mbombela Stadium.
This was Leopards’ 13th defeat and as a result they remain right at the bottom of the log with only 11 games remaining.
Papic, who was brought in as a ‘technical manager’ to help save the club from going back to the first division, says the midweek result has made things difficult for Lidoda Duvha.
“I’m sad but what can I do?” A distraught Papic tells KickOff.com ahead of their next match against Tshakhuma Tsha Madvinhandila in the Nedbank Cup today (18h00).
“Yah many games are remaining but different opponents you know, it’s very difficult for us now to maintain the way how we want… very difficult.”
With a decent squad of 36 players that Leopards have on paper, it has been a mystery as to why they are failing to win games.
“That is the problem, that is… something definitely must be changing in Black Leopards. What is going to be changing? What needs to change? Right now it’s too early for me to say anything. I just came now and didn’t have even two proper trainings you understand,” he explains.
