Karela Supporters unhappy with player’s performance in draw against AshantiGold
Karela United Supporters Body have expressed their displeasure about the performance of the players in stalemate against AshantiGold SC.
The Pride and Passion side were held to a 1-1 draw in matchday 18 Ghana Premier League fixture at the Crosby Awuah Memorial Park on Sunday.
After just early stages of the first half, Osei scored for the miners but Karela strongly came after just three minutes, they were handed an opportunity to take Kwame Boateng clattered inside the box by Osei Agyeman and referee rightly whistled for a penalty.
Diawusie Taylor quickly elected himself to take it from 12 yards and the club’s top scorer dragged it to the left but Kofi Mensah dived to the right spot and grabbed it firmly.
Speaking after the game, some supporters described their side’s performance as worse they have seen in recent times and is of the view the entire supporters board is unhappy.
“It was difficult match although we had begging chances which we failed to utilize”
“I believe this is the worst performance of Karela recently; look at how they played, this is the worst I have seen “
“ Technical team has to work on the performance of the players, was very abysmal”
