‘Bibiani Duns Park’ one of Ghana’s safest grounds- GoldStars PRO
The Public Relations Officer of Division One League Side, Bibiani Gold Stars, Paa KWESI has revealed that Bibiani Duns Park is one of the safest venues in the ongoing Ghana football season.
Over the weekend, there were nasty scenes in the Brong Ahafo Region when referee Maxwell Hansen was attacked by fans of BA United after awarding a penalty against the side in the game against Real Tamale United in their National Division One League game.
With that incident being just one of too many acts of hooliganism recorded in the 2020/2021 football season.
Bibiani Duns Park in recent times has been tagged as the “Lions Den” by some clubs in the National Division One league following their 10-match home ban in the 2015/16 campaign, However the spokesman for the Western-North side has rubbished those claims and rather revealed his outfit’s home venue as one of the safest League centres in Ghana now.
“ Duns Park is one of the safest Centers in our zone even Ghana has a whole, our supporters even cheer visiting teams when playing” he told West End Radio’s Samuel Enyan in an exclusive interview.
“ If you say intimidation, I will say no, here is safe, we have recorded zero violence this year, our records tells everything” he added.
Goldstars currently leading the Zone Two table with 61 points, 8 clear points more than the second placed Skyy FC with three games left to play, a win against Pacific Heroes on Sunday will be enough for them to book their ticket in next season’s Ghana Premier League.
