Reports claim that Evelyn Badu is set for a move to South Africa to join Mamelodi Sundowns ladies.

According to 442gh.com, the newly-crowned CAF Champions League winners are set to make an offer to Ghana club Hasaacas Ladies in what will be a record deal for female footballers in West Africa.

“Ghana’s domestic football is set to lose another marquee player to the exodus train in a one-million-dollar package,” reads the report.

“The transfer market is set to witness record figure on the local terrain with historic package direct from the Ghananian top tier.

“South African side, Mamelodi Sundowns Ladies FC, are set to table a healthy one million dollars for the services of Hasaacas Ladies FC Evelyn Badu.

Badu was the top scorer at the first ever CAF Champions League campaign, winning the top scorer award courtesy of the five goals that she scored.

Though Hasaacas were defeated by Sundowns in the final, the talents of their teenage forward were evident.

The 19-year-old scored a double against Malabo Kings then added another two in the 2-2 draw with Wadi Degla.

She has already been to the FIFA Under-20 Women’s World Cup, which she took part in in 2018, and has already represented the senior national team.

The Sundowns ladies are set to rewarded by the club with bonuses after emulating their male counterparts who won the same trophy five years ago.

There has been reports that the Sundowns players will be rewarded with R200 000 each for their efforts.
