Guinea midfielder Amadou Diawara says he is always available when Jose Mourinho is ready to rely on him at AS Roma.
The 24-year-old got a surprise start role in Roma’s 1-0 win over Torino last Sunday – his first appearance for the club since October.
“It was a very difficult match, Torino are a confident team, very tough to beat. We prepared well and entered the pitch with the right mindset,” Diawara told the club in an interview.
Diawara was asked about his contribution after being on the bench for long stretches of this season: “In football you must always be ready and do the right thing when the coach decides to rely upon you, as I did today.”
“Sometimes things can go wrong, but you always try to work hard in training to improve and be ready for the coach.”
The Torino game was Amadou Diawara’s second appearance in the Serie A this season.
