The launch of the official mascot, logo, and website for the 2023 African Games will be held in Accra on Thursday, December 16.
Ghana President Nana Akufo-Addo is expected to grace the event at the Grand Arena, Accra International Conference Center.
The ceremony is scheduled to start at 11 am (Ghana time).
The 13th edition of the African Games will be hosted in Ghana, with the University Of Ghana Sports Stadium set to be the center of the games.
The Borteyman Sports Complex will have some auxiliary facilities like swimming pools.
The Borteyman Sports Complex was initially scheduled to be the center of the games but construction works were disrupted by the COVID-19 pandemic.
The Ghana Government instead opted to make under construction University Of Ghana Sports Stadium the center of the games.
