In line with the government commitment to the speedy completion of the Axim Sports Complex, which has been rejected since April 2021, the Sports Minister has inspected the Axim Sports Complex, to access the level of work with a charge to the contractor to complete the sports facility which was started four years ago.
The minister has assured the good people of Axim the early completion of the facility and will try to get things right so that with proper maintenance, it can be use for many years.
According to Mr Kabutey, the president of the Axim Youth for Parliament disclosed to West End Radio’s Sports Director “Requelme The Sports Lecturer” that, the facility has been approved to be completed early this year as a promise made by the Sports Minister during his visit.
The project started in November 2018 and since not be completed due to the political reasons according to an insider reports.
The 5,000 ultra modern facility costed the central government $1M USD.The facility will have complete dressing room, VIP lounge, spacious car park and whole a lots facilities when completed.
The edifice will serve as an economic invigorator and contribute in strengthening the image of the fishing community.
