Eleven Wonders target GPL title next season
Techiman Eleven Wonders hope to return stronger next season in a bid to win the Premier League after their top finish ambition in the 2019/20 season was curtailed by the cancellation of the competition last week.
The club, however, sided with the Ghana Football Association’s (GFA) decision to annul the season and expunge all records pertaining to the league, following the effect of the Coronavirus outbreak on the game.
The Administrative Manager of Eleven Wonders, Ali Mohammed, believed it was not the fault of the GFA to cancel the season, especially where the deadly virus made it difficult to continue with the league.
He told Daily Graphic in an interview that Wonders were happy with their performance and that their new signings could have helped them to achieve their target.
“Our aim was shut down, and we could have realised our dream for the year had it not been for the cancellation of the league.“
Mohammed disclosed that the club would prepare adequately for the new season and come back better for the ultimate in the Ghana Premier League as the club looks forward to abide by the decision of the GFA.
