The Professional Football Association of Ghana ( PFAG)
has officially welcomed Kotoku Royals to the Ghana topflight football.
The Royals won promotion last week after drawing 1-1 with Tema Youth in the Division One League Zone Three final fixture and has now become the 100th club to play in the Ghana football league since 1956.
Kotoku Royals will be in the top flight for the first time since 1956 and will final out their Ghana Premier League fixtures for the 2022/23 in September according to Ghana FA.
The official Premier League qualification will be done in a special coronation match.
The player’s football governing body ( PFAG) took their Twitter account to congratulate Kotoku Royals for their historic achievement.
Kotoku Royals F.C. (previously known as Kotoku Royals Academy) is a professional football team from Akim Oda, Eastern Region in Ghana.
Founded in 2003 and given permission to play professional matches in 2005, the club made successive promotions through the Ghana League system to their current place in Ghana Premier League.
