Ghana are looking to secure a place in the Olympic Games and win the U-23 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) as they prepare for the tournament in Morocco in June 2023.
Black Meteors have missed out on the Olympics in the last four occasions and hopes to redeem itself by performing well in the upcoming AFCON.
They qualified for the AFCON after beating Algeria 2-1 on aggregate in the final round of qualifiers.

Speaking to TV3 on WarmUp Plus, Henry Asante Twum, the GFA Communications Director, said that the team is focused on booking a place in the Olympic Games before targeting the ultimate prize at the AFCON.
“Our best team in recent times failed to qualify for the Olympic Games, and we want to make it a special project this time. First of all, we want to make it to the Olympic Games. Then we will eye the U-23 trophy in Morocco,” he said.
