Thomas Partey: I want to win Champions League with Atletico
Black Stars midfielder, Thomas Teye Partey has set his sight on winning the UEFA Champions League before parting ways with Atletico Madrid.
Partey, who helped Atletico win the UEFA Europa League in 2018, will have the opportunity qualify for the semi-finals of this year’s Champions League if his side can defeat RB Leipzig in Lisbon today.
Speaking to Atletico’s official website, the Ghanaian is hoping to win this year’s Champions League before considering a move to Premier League side Arsenal.
“I remember the first game I played, everybody was shouting and I wasn’t used to it,” he told the official club website.
“From there, I said to myself, I have to continue playing well to attract more attention because kept on hearing names like Fernando Torres, Gabi and Koke
