Owuso Boakye grateful to Karela fans for POTS award

Winger Emmanuel Owuso Boakye has paid tribute to Karela United supporters for awarding him the Player of the Season.

On Friday June 9, 2023, Karela United Supporters group known as “Passion 40″ handed a 42” flat screen TV to the former Bechem United star as the proud winner for the Supporters’ Player of the season award.

Boakye has praised and thanked the supporters group after being voted the overall winner of the prestigious prize.

” I express my profound gratitude to you all, for voting me as the best player of the season”, He posted this on his facebook page.

Owuso Boakye had 53% votes from the 176 total votes recorded, beating the likes of Humid Mohammed Dafie, Abdul Rahman Yaya, Kharim Ayeh, Evans Adomako and Ebenezer Ocran.

The Aiyinase based club will travel to Dawu to face already relegated outfit Kotoku Royals in the final day of the 2022/23 Ghana Premier League Season.

Karela United are currently lying 12th on the league log with 44 points and looking forward to retain their status in the Ghana’s topflight league.
