Ghana Premier League powerhouses, Karela United are considering to adopt Cape Coast Stadium or nearly completed Axim Sports Complex as new venue for the upcoming 2023/24 Ghana Football Season, Domesticsportsgh.com understands.
In an exclusive interview with West End Radio, Karela’s Director of Operations, Mr.Lawrence Saforo Cudjoe disclosed that his outfit will submit a home venue to Club Licencing Board by this month ahead of the upcoming 2023/24 Ghana Premier League campaign.
The experienced football administrator hinted that Karela United is considering on submitting the Cape Coast Stadium and Ndoum Sports Stadium to Licensing board or Axim Sports Complex to be considered as home venue for the upcoming season.

” We are going to submit Cape Coast or Ndoum Sports Stadium to CLB because we have been ordered to work on our park before the season starts, and in case we couldn’t meet their requirements we must feed them our alternative venues”.
” We are also considering Axim Sports Complex if it will also reach the Club Licencing Board requirements”, he added.
Their original home, Crosby Awuah Memorial Park is likely to be rejected as it is going under renovation and does not meet the new Club Licencing requirements.

Axim Sports Complex, the new facility is located in the Evalue Ajomoro Gwira Municipal of the Western Region, just 35 minutes drive from Nzema Aiyinase.
The Multi sports facility will host sporting events including Football, Athletics, Basketball, and long tennis.
The project is made of four seating stands, which includes 35- seater VIP/ Presidential lounge, General seating areas, Media Tribune, Control room for media and stadium operations, Dressing room for players of two teams with 26 locker rooms each, referees rooms for 6 officials and multiple purpose courts for Hand sports such as Basket ball, Handball, Long Tennis and volley ball.
According to report by the National Youth Authority, the current expenditure of the Axim Youth Resource Centre stands at ¢18million cedis( $1.46m Dollars).
