Ghana international striker Emmanuel Boateng has parted ways with Portuguese club Rio Ave.
Boateng, 28, joined the Taça de Portugal side from Chinese Super League side Dalian Pro on a two-year deal in 2022.
The former Levante, who is very much remembered for his stunning hat-trick against a prime Barcelona in 2018, scored seven times in 29 appearances for Rio Ave in the 2023–24 season.
He became the first player to score a hat-trick against the Catalan giants in La Liga since Diego Forlan in May 2005.
Top European and Saudi clubs are expected to circle around the experienced forward following his departure from the Portuguese side, where he helped them to an 11th-place finish.
