Former Asante Kotoko player Enock Morrison could turn down a move to Hearts of Oak in favor of a stint in the Rwandan Premier League.
The versatile player’s contract with Asante Kotoko was terminated by the latter at the end of a difficult 2023–24 season for the Kumasi-based side.
He has since been linked to a move to his former side’s bitter rivals, Accra Hearts of Oak, and the player confirmed talks with the team’s head coach, Aboubakar Ouattara.
However, reports reaching max.com.gh indicate the 24-year-old could join his former teammate, Richmond Lamptey, in Rwanda.
Morrison disclosed in an interview with Nana Darkwa Gyasi on the Sports Pack Show on Max 89.7 FM on Thursday, July 4, that he would not hesitate to move outside if the offer was lucrative.
“Even though we all want to attain the highest heights in football, for now the situation is about money. Everyone wants money, so if I earn less here, then go to another place where I can earn enough to care for my mother and family, then it is far better I leave.”
