Hearts of Oak Sporting Club, after unveiling Michael Awuah Mensah and Asamoah Boateng Afriyie, are close to securing the services of Benjamin Asare.
The Accra Great Olympics goalkeeper was spotted at the Phobians training base in Pobiman on Friday.
Football transfer expert and host of the Football Facts and Figures show on Max FM, Mohammed Shaban, has confirmed head coach of Hearts, Aboubakar Ouattara, is in support of the transfer.
Accra Lions’ Andrews Owusu and Dreams Football Club’s Solomon Agbasi are also targets for the ‘Continental Masters’ should Asare’s pursuit fail.
Asare’s teammate Razak Kassim is also still in talks over a potential transfer to Hearts. Nothing concrete has yet come out of the negotiations, but the club is hoping to beat Asante Kotoko to his signature.
As reported earlier this week by Domesticsportsgh.com, Issah Kuka is among the players that would be let go, and that remains so as he has communicated to the club his intention to represent another club.
