Goldfields Ghana will commission the newly constructed TNA Park next month.
The edifice which is known as the Tarkwa-Na- Aboso Stadium is expected to be commissioned on Friday August 16, 2024.
The mining community is set to celebrate a significant milestone with the grand opening of the newly built TNA Stadium.
The state-of-the-art facility, boasting a capacity of 10,400 seats, is a monumental investment worth $16 million, funded by the Gold Fields Foundation.
This stadium promises to be a beacon of pride for the people of Tarkwa, providing a premier venue for sports and entertainment in the region.
As the opening date approaches, the anticipation within the community is palpable, with many looking forward to the economic and social benefits the stadium will bring. This grand opening event is expected to draw significant attention, highlighting Tarkwa’s commitment to development and excellence.
Funded by Gold Fields Ghana Foundation (GFGF) at the cost of $16.2 million, works being executed by Micheletti& Co.Ltd include a VVIP stand, general stands for spectators and officials, parking lots, an ambulance bay, LOC office, dressing rooms, offices for coaches and referees, a media centre and a commentary box.
Other facilities include flood lights, a physiotherapy and first aid office, office for Match Commissioners and referees and kits store.
The facility will be the home grounds for Ghana Premier League side, Medeama SC as well as lower tier sides Rospak and Real Tarkwa United.
