Western Region: Elubo residents in a joyful mood as equipment arrives for astro turf project

The border town of Elubo in the Jomoro municipality of the Western Region were abuzz with excitement as the highly anticipated astro turf project takes a significant leap forward following the arrival of equipment for the said project.

According to West FM’s Sports guru, Tony the Sports Lighter, the equipment have arrived at the site, marking a major milestone in the project’s timeline. The delivery includes:

• High-quality carpet grass
• Foreign goal poles
• Glue
• Corner flags
• Harden Paint

In an exclusive interview with the Site engineer Mr. Joe, he confirmed that with the equipment in place, he expects to complete the installation within two weeks.

This is a welcome update for the community, who have been eagerly awaiting the facility’s upgrade.

The project is a testament to the tireless efforts of Hon. Dorcas Affo-Toffey, Member of Parliament for Jomoro, who successfully lobbied for the initiative. Her dedication to the constituency’s development has brought this exciting project to fruition.

Notably, the project has been generously funded by Ghana Gas Company Limited, demonstrating their commitment to supporting community development and sports infrastructure.

With the equipment in place and the project timeline outlined, the Elubo community can look forward to enjoying a world-class AstroTurf park soon. The facility is expected to boost sports development, recreation, and community engagement in the area.
